Dimapur, April 17
The NSCN/GPRN has said that it is tirelessly working for reconciliation to find early solution to the unresolved Naga political issue but the April 15 ambush to the Naga army by NSCN(K) cadres between Phinphiro and Lilam village in Ledo area of Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh, where one 2nd Lieutenant Wungnaothing was injured has put a dent to its effort for reconciliation and unity. MIP-NSCN/GPRN in a press note said, “Time and again NSCN have restrained from confronting Naga brothers in arms so that favourable environment may be created for peace and brotherhood within the Naga family. However, if the pursuit for peace and reconciliation are misunderstood as weaknesses and undue advantage is taken at the peril of derailing peace process, the Naga Army will be compelled to stand its ground for larger interests of the nation.”
