DIMAPUR — The Yung Aung-led NSCN/GPRN has condemned what it described as “Indian drone attacks” on Khenmoi-Loiyi village in the eastern Konyak region on Monday evening, alleging that the incident resulted in the deaths of two civilians and injuries to four others.
In a statement issued by its Ministry of Information and Publicity on Tuesday, the group claimed that the attack killed a 27-year-old man and an eight-year-old girl, and described the incident as a “cowardly act” and “a clear violation of international norms and laws.”
Terming the strike “an act of genocide against the Naga people,” the NSCN (YA) alleged that this was the second such attack on civilians this year, following a similar incident on July 13. It said the attacks demonstrated “complete disregard for human life” and accused India of “expansionist politics.”

“India must be strongly cautioned that threatening the Naga revolutionaries by killing innocent public is not a worthy goal and she will never profit anything from the misery of the Naga public,” it said, cautioning that the “intensity of our response will increase” if the message is not understood.
The organisation urged the international community to take “urgent action” and hold India accountable for what it called “a crime against humanity.” It also appealed to Naga civil society groups and citizens to condemn the alleged attack and resist India’s domination and exploitation.
Extending solidarity to residents of Khenmoi-Loiyi village, the group conveyed condolences to the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
