The NSCN/GPRN-Reformation has appealed to all Naga political groups to prepare for inclusive solution by direct involvement rather than criticizing and accusing other parties.
While analyzing the Naga political scenario and causes that led to disunity among the Nagas, MIP NSCN/GPRN-R in a press note said, it wants all the groups to share common thought and mould one voice to achieve common goal.
The NSCN/GPRN-R said, the Naga Hoho, FNR, State government and GoI should play a constructive role to bring them together. It also urged the NSCN-IM leaders to act maturely as ‘elder brother’ of all and come down to the ground minimizing all forms of aggressiveness and arrogance and humble before other brothers. “The NSCN/GPRN-Reformation being the youngest one will always follow the right direction and will sacrifice to any extent if it is for the good of the Nagas. The NSCN/GPRN-R on its part ready to participate the present talk to enlarge its scope to level of unified talk. Now, the ball is in the court of both NSCN-IM and GoI.”
“Deep study of ground situation of Naga political scenario vis-à-vis NSCN-IM-GoI peace talk and Frame Work Agreement worries the leaders of NSCN-Reformation. Equally, the ground study and analysis of the situation might have worried many of the Naga thinkers. Wrong footing taken by our leaders after Shillong Accord of 1975, expediting the formation of NSCN might be the real cause of disunity because the NSCN gave birth to new era of fratricidal killing, wrongly believing the gun culture and this gun culture begot another gun culture and this culture gave birth to four (4) NSCNs, although S.S. Khaplang and his group had less say on India side and engaging with Myanmar Government since 2012.”
“Of the 3 NSCNs in India side, the NSCN-IM engaged with GoI since 1997 and recently signed Frame Work Agreement (Aug. 2015) and made a tall claim that, the agreement was signed on behalf of the Nagas and the GoI on her part declared that, the talk will be inclusive and all stake holders will be treated equally, pave a way for their direct involvement in the talk. But, the worrying part is, neither NSCN-IM open its heart to other Naga Brothers, nor the GoI invite other NPGs. The NSCN-Unification and remnant of NNC/FGN opposed the Frame Work Agreement tooth and nail. However, the NSCN/GPRN-Reformation did not opposed the said agreement signed between NSCN-IM and GoI but expressed its supportive opinion after all it was signed between the Nagas and India.”
The NSCN/GPRN-R advised NSCN-Unification that continuous attacking and arresting the NSCN/GPRN-Reformation workers in and around Dimapur and Kohima was not acceptable at all at this juncture where all must jointly stand to study what carries solution.
The NSCN/GPRN-R while asking the NSCN-Unification to explain the reason of their continuous attack on their workers, said they failed to explain to the Nagas.
“The Frame Work Agreement was signed by NSCN-IM and not by NSCN/GPRN-Reformation, and you (NSCN-Unification) stood tooth and nail opposing it but you attack none but NSCN/GPRN-Reformation branding it your personal enemy. You must explain to the Naga people even today as to why you attack NSCN/GPRN-Reformation exceptionally, which does not meant that, you must attack other NPGs too”.
