Dimapur, April 30 (EMN): NSCN (R) has greeted the Ao community on the occasion of Moatsu festival and hoped that they continue to shine in being the ‘advocators of peace among Nagas and also continue to be torchbearers and harbinger of forbearance and love to all.’
Moatsu is celebrated in the first week of May to invoke God’s blessings for a good harvest, prosperity and good health. NSCN (R), through its MIP, hoped that the festival would bring about prosperity among the Ao brothers and sisters.
In a separate statement, NSCN (R) has terminated its raju peyu, Tovito Kibami of Ghoshito village with immediate allegedly for misusing his office and position by collecting unauthorised taxation without the knowledge of the higher authority.
The authority has found his action ‘detrimental’ to the national principles, which also contravened to the NSCN (R)’s earlier declaration in maintaining ‘zero tolerance’ against any cadre(s) unnecessarily harassing innocent public. NSCN (R) further stated that the discharged individual does not represent the NSCN (R) government anymore.
