Dimapur, August 27 : NSCN- Reformation has strongly condemned the alleged inhumane actions of ‘NSCN-Unification’ and sought open reply from the latter through official press statement, to keep record straight, as to why they (NSCN-U) continue to arrest, beat, imposing fine and forced to sign bond of heavy fine starting from Rs 10,00000 and above.
NSCN (R), through its MIP, claimed that more than forty NSCN-Reformation workers were arrested and beaten, the recent being the arrest of its leacy, Thiapa, on June 14; Athrongpa, ASO, on July 3; Thritsapa, SO, on July 4; and Phuhoto, CCM, on August 26.
It said the action NSCN-U seemed too heavy to bear any longer and might compel NSCN (R) to act as situation demands. While cautioning not to mistake the patience of NSCN-R as sign of weakness, MIP statement said it will have to fight back squarely if such actions continue. While stating that NSCN (R) considered NSCN-Unification and other NPGs as own brothers fighting for common cause, it however felt that NSCN-Unification has no human compunction towards NSCN-Reformation.
NSCN-R also cautioned Naga NGOs - Naga Hoho, ENPO, NTC, CNTC, Naga Mothers’ Association, NSF, ENSF and churches for their long silence in the face of such harsh action of NSCN- Unification towards fellow Nagas in such a fragile juncture.
Meanwhile, it questioned NSCN (U) of their problems with the NSCN (R) for targeting and attacking the organisation? It also questioned if it was the decision of their government or individual action?
NSCN (R) further remarked that Naga people must know what is going on with NSCN- Unification and added that no Naga should blame NSCN- Reformation if any unwanted situation crops up against their action.
