DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 14:The NSCN (reformation) has stated support for a “Naga solution but not factional deal and its outcomes whatsoever, because the issue itself is not a factional issue and therefore, solution will have to be Naga solution.”
The organization issued a press release on Wednesday saying “the Ideology of Naga national movement cannot be altered.”
“As stated in so many occasions, it will support the Naga solution but not factional deal and its outcomes whatsoever, because the issue itself is not a factional issue and therefore, solution will have to be Naga solution,” the statement from the ‘M.I.P. NSCN/ GPRN (reformation)’ stated.
According to the group, the “foundation of the Naga national movement” that was “laid down as early as 1918 through small but established Naga Club can never be altered by any Accords without sovereignty because the future of the Naga cannot be totally determined by the present movement unless original dream of Naga sovereignty is achieved.”
As the Naga movement is not for ‘anything other than sovereignty,’ the press release stated, “the NSCN / GPRN (R) shared the same ideology and become the part of its movement, nothing new can be added and no deletion of any part of it, some in other Naga political groups always try their best to condemns Naga revolution (NSCN-R), saying it has no vision and future but in reality they are just human being without dream and who cannot explain who they are in Naga political movement whereas, the NSCN ( R) will go to any extend in Naga sovereignty issue without compromising historical and political rights of the Nagas.”
“Yes,” the group stated, “so many Nagas disliked the formation of NSCN/ GPRN ( R) because of multiple factions cropped up in the recent past.”
However, the organization claimed, “it will provide alternative platform for the Nagas and therefore, the Naga peoples should keep hope on its leaderships who may be young but ready to take up any challenges to defend the Naga political rights.”
In regard to “appreciation from NSCN/ GPRN ( R) for framework agreement between the NSCN ( IM) and GoI signed on 3rd August 2015,” the press release explained that “as stated earlier, the collective leaders expected the NSCN ( IM) leaders to consult with the leaders of the other NPGs for future programmes with open hearts but they failed to build the confidence of the other NPGs leaders which have created hue and cry against the said framework.”
Even the leaders of the NSCN (R) have been attacked and “accusing of hand in gloves with NSCN ( IM) in framework issue,” the note lamented.
“However, the NSCN ( R) leaders only appreciated when the said agreement was signed and no further business in this regards. Since the NSCN/ GPRN ( R) is fighting for the Naga cause , it will stand with the Naga peoples,” it added.
