Dimapur, Feb. 2 (EMN): NSCN (R) president, Y Wangtin Naga, has declared the appointment of its new army chief Brig. Wanglon, which was chosen by the house to fill the vacant post.
Brig. Wanglon was appointed to the post following expulsion of its former army chief Jackson pm December 18. NSCN (R) through its MIP stated that Brig. Wanglon was appointed in recognition of his seniority in service, loyalty, sincerity and integrity towards the nation.
A dedication programme was attended by NGOs such as KU, KNSK, KSU and church leaders and Reverends.
Speaking at the dedication programme, NSCN (R) president Y Wangtin Naga stated that the position of army chief is too high and it requires man of integrity and reliable person who loves the nation more than his own self. The president regretted for the two former chiefs who failed to maintain the highest position of army chief and ultimately putting themselves to the doom.
The president advised the new army chief to maintain his position through selfless services for the nation and its people.
