NSCN Provisional Government alleges the Indian Army carried out a drone strike on Mt. Horeb on October 11
DIMAPUR — The NSCN Provisional Government has alleged that the Indian Army carried out a drone strike on Mt. Horeb in the pre-dawn hours of October 11, between 2:40 am and 4:30 am.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, the NSCN Provisional Government described the operation as an assault intended to eliminate Naga cadres who, it said, had stood for the sovereignty of Nagalim.
The statement said the alleged attack would not deter the organisation from pursuing its objective of restoring Nagalim’s sovereignty, adding that it had deepened its commitment to what it described as the Naga cause.
The NSCN Provisional Government said it bore the responsibility of resisting India’s “illegal occupation” of Nagalim and stated that it would continue to bring to the attention of the international community “the uncivilised conduct” of the Indian government and its collaborators in Nagalim.
It appealed to the international community to address “terrorism sponsored by the Indian Government” and urged the United Nations to give serious attention to the situation in Nagalim. The statement also questioned India’s consideration for permanent membership of the UN Security Council, alleging that the country had disregarded international law and human rights.
Further, the NSCN Provisional Government called on the people of Nagalim to remain resolute and united and to uphold their sovereign rights.
