- DIMAPUR — Finding itself at the receiving end
of public ire once again, the NSCN/GPRN (Khango) has stated that it was “fully
aware of the situation and condition” regarding the INR 50 lakh demand notice
issued to Aolemba Longkumer, an entrepreneur.
- Following a ‘cabinet meeting,’ the group issued a press
release on Saturday informing that Aolemba was asked to submit an INR 50 lakh
‘penalty’ for failing to execute works as per the DPR as well as for
misappropriating money meant for the allocated project.

- “The government is also in possession of enough proof and
evidence to supplement its stand and will not hesitate to bring it out in the
public domain if need arises.
- “In the meantime, the NSCN/GPRN appeal to all the CSOs
(civil society organisations) involved to firstly take into account as to why
such actions were initiated by the NSCN government against the said
individual,” read the press release.
- Also, it directed all the contractors/suppliers in Nagaland
to execute their works as prescribed in the DPR.
- “The NSCN appeals to the competent authority to strictly
verify the entire ongoing project. The NSCN/GPRN will not remain a mute
spectator when huge amounts of money are being siphoned off by the
contractors/suppliers that were meant to develop the Naga inhabitant area for
the younger generation of the Nagas,” it stated, adding that the group always
advocates for the peaceful co-existence of Naga people.
- “When all the Nagas around the globe are longing for the
peaceful final settlement, we are deeply disheartened to hear that during the
joint press conference some CSO leaders strongly sent a message to the Nagas to
prepare for the civil war/bloodshed, which was uncalled for.
- “The stand of NSCN is crystal clear: yesterday, today, and
tomorrow, we will now and never tolerate another bloodshed among Nagas,” it
added.
