Dimapur, Oct. 16 (EMN): Khango faction of the NSCN (K) held a meeting with the chairman of Ceasefire Supervisory Board (CFSB), Lt. Gen. Shokin Chauhan, at Kohima on October 14.
An update from NSCN (K) secretary, Michael Yeptho, stated that critical ceasefire related issues were discussed. He added that issue on the need to uphold and exercise utmost restraint at this crucial juncture of the Naga issues by strictly adhering to the ceasefire ground rules were discussed.
He further stated the need to transit peacefully to a new era through peaceful negotiations were also deliberated.
The CFSB NSCN-K group was led by Shellen Konyak, supervisor CFSB NSCN-K, while the Government of India was represented by top officials from the army/ Assam Rifles/ state police and state government officials.
