DIMAPUR — Asserting that Molham Kuki village is the main
base of the Kuki militants, the NSCN (IM) on Tuesday said the statement of
Manipur Police that BSF Coys would be housed in Molham Kuki village was
ridiculous and misleading.
Stating that
NSCN (IM) is not blind to the development, it has called for public scrutiny
and verification.
“If BSF
coys is to be established in Molham Kuki village, then the collusion of the
centre and state governments with the Kuki militants is an established fact as
made to believe for many years,” NSCN (IM) stated through its MIP.
Highlighting
factual situation for public awareness, it affirmed that there is no such CRPF
or BSF in Molham Kuki village adding the village only housed Kuki militants
that numbered around 200.
Stating
that Molham village is used as the headquarters of the Kuki militants is an
“open secret,” it said anybody can cross check it from the spot.
“If the
Manipur Police stands by their version that BSF coys will be based in Molham
Kuki village, it establish another fact that Kuki militants would be based
there disguised as BSF boys. Another conclusion forced on us is that BSF coys
there to guard the Kuki militants from Naga Army attack,” it added.
It has
accused Manipur Police of deliberately not showing up ‘accountability’ and
‘transparency.’
Pointing
out that one Bihar Regiment camp is located at Karong river and not CRPF camp,
NSCN (IM) stated that Manipur Police was caught misleading the public with
their concocted statement that those trucks are for CRPF at Molham Kuki village
when there was no CRPF camp around there.
It further
called upon the Manipur Police to break the ‘trust deficit’ and re-establish
its credibility.
