Dimapur, November 24: Responding to the news item “Pholami village council ex-communicates NSCN (IM) Tatar” made out of the press release issued by Vesopa Nakro, VCC and Vecuso Medeo, head GB, that appeared in local dailies on October 27 and 28 dragging his name and resignation, NSCN(IM) Tatar Sahicu Vezhu described the allegations levelled against him by some vested interest people as “false” and “baseless”. He said the allegations were intended to damage his good image and reputation.
In a release on Thursday, Vezhu said he was restraining himself all these day as of the senior national workers and advisor of Pholami village with the hope that good sense will prevail but it went futile.
The NSCN (IM) Tatar narrated that Vesopa Nakro had a telephonic conversation with tax collector Dakho on October 10 for army ration 2016-17. Vezhu said Dakho falsely informed Vesopa Nakro but the latter believed and immediately convened the heads of departments emergency meeting on October 13 to damage the hard earned peace and tranquillity in the village and put false allegation on against him, which has no mandate of the VCC.
In the process of the meeting there was no agenda to ex-communicate nor initiate non-corporation towards the government, Vezhu said while expressing surprise to learn about such development only from the newspapers. “This press release does not have the mandate or consensus of the village, and therefore stand null and void,” he stated.
“This only clearly show their ill intention and ill motive of VCC against me to tarnish my image and reputation especially to my government which I served faithfully till today. It is very unfortunate to even drag our head GB Mr. Vecuso Medeo to be a signatory who does not know the content,” the Tatar said.
On Rs 5000 collection as house tax for the year 2016-17, Vezhu said he fully agreed that he had received it on behalf of the region authority to attend official duty assigned to him on August 29.
“The National workers of NSCN (IM) Chakhesang region has conducted a Peace Campaign on 22/9/16.at Sakhaba town with all Center Chakhesang village Leaders. When all Naga are yearning for peace and unity and social harmony amongst to Naga brethrens, at this juncture Mr. Vesopa VCC is spreading disunity by sowing seeds of hatred with his concocted stories to derail the hard earned efforts by one and all. When the authorities knows best the real intention of Mr Vesopa Nakro VCC for which we advised him to be neutral VCC after the campaign in the village,” Vezhu stated.
He further said for ex-communication, an indefinite period does not hold any merit to counter as this is not relevant to customary law or universal law. He, therefore, fervently appealed to the esteemed authority to kindly consider his case and deliver justice.
“Whatever comes in my ways, for the greater interest of the Nagas and Pholami Village, I will whole heartedly, sincerely and honestly serve the government where I belong and also render my fullest support and co-operation to my native village- Pholami,” Vezhu assured.
