Dimapur, Feb. 3 (EMN): The Government of People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP) has in a strongest term condemned the alleged ‘cold-blooded’ assassination of Dichungbe Nriame, ‘Deputy Kilonser,’ Care Taker CAO of Asalu, Zeliangrong Region on Feb. 2 at his residence in Jalukie town by unknown assailant(s).
The ‘Government of People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN)’ has condemned what it alleged was the ‘cold-blooded’ killing of one Dichungbe Nriame, “deputy kilonser,” and ‘care taker’ CAO of Asalu of Zeliangrong region on Feb. 2 at his residence in Jalukie town by unknown assailants.
The group’s “ministry of information and publicity” (MIP) issued a press release on Fri.
“Such a coward and dastard act of killing a national worker at a time when the whole Nagas are longing for peace and unity is totally uncalled for,” the MIP said.
“The GPRN, who heed to the call for peace by the mass and in the spirit of forgiveness towards its rivals, has been lying low by not launching any offensive, for the nation awaits the inevitable coming of a great change,” the group stated.
The NSCN (IM) sought clarification from ‘whosoever has committed the beastly act of murdering the CAO.’
“The GPRN will be compelled to launch its investigation to find out the truth and do whatever it takes to bring justice,” the MIP said.
Also, the NSCN (IM) ‘cabinet secretariat’ has expressed grief at the demise of Dichungbe Nriame.
Dichungbe Nriame son of Ewangliang Nriame of Tungjie village, joined the group on Feb. 2 1997 and served in various capacities till his demise, the GPRN said.
The GPRN expressed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed that the Almighty God grant solace to them and for the departed soul, peace.
JSU: The Jalukie Students’ Union (JSU) has expressed shock to have learned about the killing of Dichung Riame of the NSCN / GPRN at his residence in Jalukie town on Feb. 2.
“Jalukie is a land of peace and prosperity and such acts not only tarnish the soil but create unfavourable environment to the citizens,” it added.
The JSU has urged the law enforcement to take appropriate action against the culprits.
The union has also requested the public to cooperate with investigations. It further warned that ‘if any group or individual found trying to cover / hide the culprit, they shall be deemed to it’s accomplished.’
The union has conveyed condolences and has prayed for solace to the bereaved family and to the deceased, eternal peace.
ZPO (N): The Zeliang People’s Organisation (N) also condemned the allegedly killing on Feb. 2.
The ZPO said ‘when all the people’s from different walk of life are striving for peace and reconciliation among different groups for amicable and acceptable political solutions of the protracted Naga problem, such an act of action can derailed this process and create unwanted situation and turmoil in the areas.’
The organisation has appealed to all sections of the people to condemn such act of ‘primitive brutality’ and urged upon any group or individual to ‘own moral responsibility’ for their act.
The ZPO has condoled with the death of Riame. It also prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Zeliangrong Nagas of Assam: All the frontal organisations of Zeliangrong Nagas of Assam have strongly condemned the alleged killing of Dichungbe Riame, CAO in-charge, Asalu region, NSCN (IM) who was shot dead by unknown miscreant(s) on Feb. 2 at his residence in Jalukie. The organisations appealed the authority in concern to place a high level enquiry to nab the culprit(s).
JTY: The Jalukie Town Youth Organization has also condemned the alleged crime. The youth organization has appealed to the authorities to book the perpetrators at the earliest.
