Dimapur, Nov. 23 (EMN): The NSCN (IM) on Friday mourned the death of one of its cadres who was killed in a factional gunfight between the outfit and the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) on Nov. 22 at a place between Lubanglong and Gahtao villages in Khoupum area in Manipur.
The MIP, in a condolence, identified the deceased cadre as one ‘ss’ corporal Teubaming Pame of ‘Nganping Battalion, Naga Army, from Mpuiloa village in Asalu Region’.
The MIP stated that the ‘Longvibu’ and the entire Naga army stands in paying homage to the departed soul. It stated that the deceased served the nation wholeheartedly and that his sacrifice for the Naga nation shall ever be cherished. The MIP also stated that, as tribute and in recognition of the service rendered towards the Naga nation,the deceased has been posthumously ‘bestowed the rank of sergeant’. The MIP further conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
