Dimapur, Dec 16: A one-day winter session of the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) was held on December 16 at its Council Headquarters, Hebron.
The session started with an obituary report by the Defense Kilonser Lieut. Gen. (Rtd) NG. Markson, VC, followed with a silent prayer was observed in remembrances of the martyrs.
The speech of its vice president Gen (Rtd) Kholi was readout by the Convener of Steering Committee Qhevihe Chishi Swu. In his message Gen. (Rtd) Kholi reiterated that, “the political negotiation with the Government of India (GOI) is making positive progress and it is important that all Nagas must not lose sight of the final goal ahead of us.”Reminding that the adversaries are working hard to divide among ourselves and to divide their land, he cautioned the Nagas to be aware of the danger of self-destruction and to stand firmly against all inimical forces.
Chaired by its speaker Ashiho Asoumai, the house discussed thoroughly the presidential speech and various agendas of national importance. Finally, the Speaker adjourned the session sine die.
