Dimapur, April 18 (EMN): A Ceasefire Review Committee meeting between the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) and the Government of India on April 17 in New Delhi.
NSCN (IM), in a press release issued by its MIP, said the meeting began with cordial atmosphere whereby important issues were discussed and reviewed. It said after minute discussions and thorough deliberations, decisions were made in an accommodative spirit.
The meeting was chaired by Rina Mitra, Special Secretary (Internal Security) and attended by the following representatives of GOI namely Satyendra Garg, Joint Secretary (Home) Northeast In-charge; MS A Radha Rani, Deputy Secretary (NE III); Gurbachan Singh, Additional Director (IB); AK Mishra, senior Joint Director (IB), Northeast In-charge; DK Pathak, Chairman CFMG; Maj. Gen. Sanjay Gupta, IGAR (North); Brig. DS Rana, DGMO; Col. Amit Tewati, DGMI; Maj. P Lokchandar, DGMO; SC Sahoo; Jyoti Kailash, Principal Resident Commissioner, Nagaland House, New Delhi.
The NSCN team was led by Lt. Gen. (Retd) VS Atem, Collective Leadership Member and with the committee members that included Vikiye Awomi, Convener CFMC; Tongmeth Wangnao, Collective Leadership Member;
Angaikham Makunga, SEM; K Chawang, SEM; V Horam, Kilonser MIP;
John Anal, Secretary to Vice President, GPRN; DJ Rudolph, Secretary CFMC; and Brig. H Shadang, GHQ Naga Army. The meeting concluded with a very progressive result.
