NSCN (IM) denies NGBF's claims on common draft
The NSCN (IM) has refuted claims that its leaders Q Tuccu and VS Atem have given their consent to the common drafting of the Framework Agreement and the Agreed Position into a single agreement
- DIMAPUR — The NSCN (IM) has refuted claims
that its leaders Q Tuccu and VS Atem have given their consent to the common
drafting of the Framework Agreement and the Agreed Position into a single
agreement “as made to understand by the statement given by Zhalipu of NGBF.”
- In a press statement issued on Saturday, the group dismissed
the claim as a blatant lie “and tantamount to be charged for breach of faith
and malicious damage to NSCN’s political standing.”
- “No doubt, NGBF met General Atem on the issue on February
4th, 2025. But there was no official commitment in any manner whatsoever. NGBF
were only told that the matter would be discussed by NSCN and decision would be
taken accordingly if the need arose,” the statement read.
