NSCN (IM) condemns Arambai Tenggol’s action

• DIMAPUR — The Wang Tangkhul Region (WTR) of the NSCN (IM) has strongly condemned the action of Arambai Tenggol for hoisting ‘Salai Taret’ flag during a time when people from all socio-religious groups from across the country are participating in the Shirui Lily Festival in Ukhrul.

• “Their manner of hoisting ‘Salai Taret’ flag is a lowbrow and treasonous scumbag. ‘Salat Taret’ flag has no connection with the Tangkhuls in any manner whatsoever culturally, historically or politically,” the statement read.

• It pointed out that Arambai Tenggol had once again proved themselves as nothing but a bunch of ‘war mongers’ provoking the nerves of the peace loving Tangkhuls. It added that Arambai Tenggol’s action constituted a breach of social protocol as prevalent in today’s civilised society and termed their actions as sheer stupidity.

• Meanwhile, the NSCN (IM) of Wang Tangkhul Region has demanded Arambai Tenggol to tender ‘unqualified apology’ within 48 hours for their unwarranted intrusion at Shirui peak and hoisting their ‘Salai Taret’ flag in the area that is far from their socio-religious jurisdiction.
