DIMAPUR — The NSCN (IM) has responded to the “viral circulated fictitious budget” on Facebook and WhatsApp regarding the expenditure of the Ato kilonser’s home visit.

“It is utterly absurd to suggest that the NSCN or the concern Committee would produce or disclose such a budget publicly. This misinformation appears to be a deliberate tactic employed by adversaries with malicious intentions,” the NSCN (IM) stated in a press release.

It further denied having prepared such a budget for the home visit of the Ato Kilonser which is slated for October 22.

Meanwhile, the NSCN (IM) Wancho Region has issued a statement clarifying media reports regarding the surrender of ‘Corporal’ Shikngam Wangpan, allegedly a female cadre of the NSCN (IM), to the Assam Rifles in Khonsa, Tirap district, Arunachal Pradesh.

The Wancho Region stated that Shikngam Wangpan was an ex-Naga army cadre who had been duly discharged from active national service on April 2, 2024, and had become a public member after the issuance of the discharge order from the competent GPRN authority.

It also mentioned that while the Wancho Region appreciated her selfless contributions to the Naga nation, the attempt to concoct a narrative for personal accolades was not the first instance of its kind.

Further, in another statement, the NSCN (IM) clarified that “the Eastern Flank and Hebron camp, NSCN, remain as a solid body and no such thing as made to believe by what is being circulated in social media platform.”

“Undesirable elements are resorting to this kind of miserable game for vested interests.”
