NSCN (IM) clarifies on October 8 abduction case in Dimapur.

DIMAPUR — The NSCN (IM) has issued a clarification regarding the October 8 abduction of four individuals from Bihar, who were taken from Hotel New Rajasthan Palace in Dimapur.
In a press release, the CAO (UT) of NSCN (IM) clarified that two of the four individuals arrested in connection with the abduction case, Kavito Yeptho (Tatar) and Saul Chophy (Razou Peyu), are regional staff members under supervision of the caretaker CAO (UT).
Whereas, the other two arrested, Kivipu Zhimo and Bento Shohe are civilians and not NSCN (IM) cadres.

The CAO (UT) also stated that the abduction was carried out without the knowledge or awareness of the caretaker CAO and the competent authority.
“Thus, this was entirely executed on their own personal vested interest. The Office of the Union Territory also took into account on this severe issue as a great misconduct and misuse of power to malign and tarnish the image of the GPRN,” it stated.
“The report of the two NSCN members is further forwarded before the Ministry of Kilo Affairs for trial and necessary action as per Azha of the Yezhabo.”
