NSCN (IM) clarifies Muivah’s health condition

DIMAPUR — NSCN (IM) has clarified that its General Secretary, Thuingaleng Muivah, is recovering well after being hospitalised due to mild cold and dehydration, refuting widespread speculation on social media about his health.

In a press release on Saturday, the group termed the viral news regarding Muivah’s condition “unfortunate” and “unfounded.”

According to the statement, Muivah was admitted to Referral Hospital (CIHSR) on Friday after experiencing mild cold symptoms and dehydration. However, the NSCN stressed that there was no serious cause for concern.

“He is doing well and will be released soon,” the statement read, adding that the rumours suggesting otherwise were misleading.
