Dimapur, March 23 (EMN): The NSCN (IM) has denied news report in the Hindustan Times published on March 17 in which it alleged that an unidentified individual arrested at Delhi Airport with a converter was a Naga underground activist from the organisation. The group’s ‘MIP’ issued a note terming the report fallacious and ‘devoid of any iota of truth.’
The organisation claimed that such accusations of the Indian authority, particularly the National Investigation Agency, and customs officials at Delhi airport were a desperate attempt to malign the NSCN.
It has asked the Indian agencies to do thorough investigation before branding any suspect an NSCN member.
Also, the NSCN (IM) dared the Indian authorities to come out with the details of the arrested individual ‘to serve better understanding for the present as well as for the near future.’
