NSCN (IM) calls SC Jamir ‘a traitor’

Says ceasefire truces among GPRN/NSCN, NSCN (R) and Delhi have been reduced to suspension of operations pacts Dimapur, May 9 (EMN): The NSCN (IM), after a long while, has turned its focus on perhaps the outfit’s oldest enemy, Dr SC Jamir. Of late, there have been speculations in the mainstream media that Jamir could be appointed as the next vice president of India – which the NSCN (IM), for obvious reasons, considers as serious threat. The NSCN (IM) on Tuesday issued a more-than-1600-words statement detailing its point of view. “At the most darkest and most horrible periods, while Nagas were being militarily hunted and killed by Indian army, any individual who worked hands in glove (sic) with the enemies are traitors and Dr SC Jamir was no exception”, the statement read. A passage of the outfit’s statement read: “The NSCN is also surprised and amused by the wide and in-depth knowledge of Mr Jagdamba Mall, who has written detailed accounts about Dr SC Jamir, former chief minister and governor. His writings have thrown sufficient light that, he is an ardent supporter and relentlessly campaigns to elect him to the purported post of vice president of India. Unexpectedly, the writer had disclosed to the nation and the world many new facts and information about Dr SC Jamir for which the NSCN is grateful to him. “Mr Jagdamba had fully exposed the true ugly colours of Dr SC Jamir in context to his opposite and confronting roles against Naga National Movement. Mr Jagdamba writings have confirmed that Dr SC Jamir is the son of Bharatmata and he definitely possesses ‘anti Naga DNA/genetic properties’. These disclosures are nothing less than a litmus test results about Dr SC Jamir who had stood in the ways of naga national movements at all levels till the highest offices of India since the past many decades. “It may be recalled that, Mr Jagdamba Mall, had worked in the accountant general office, Kohima for many years, and he is also fully aware that, Indian army waged wars against the defenceless and unarmed Nagas. The unconquered Nagas were compelled to defend their land and its people from the violent Indian aggressors. The invasions of Nagalim by the Indian security forces had scars of untold miseries and sufferings. Many lakhs of Nagas were killed mercilessly, Mothers and daughters were raped even in holy churches, innocents were tortured while thousands and thousands were rendered homeless, fatherless, motherless and villages were burnt down to ashes destroying every grain of food and livestock”, the NSCN (IM) statement reminded. In the same statement, the NSCN (IM) has stated that the recent agreements signed among the GPRN/NSCN, NSCN (R) and the government of India were not ceasefire truces but merely suspension of operations (SoO) pacts. “The Khehoi campers and NSCN Reformation seem happy and contented in signing SoO with GOI which is degrading enough as the cease fire is being reduced to mere SoO. Dr SC Jamir’s agenda for Nagas of Nagaland is totally against the spirit of Naga nationalism as it fulfils the evil desires of their masters and it will go down the history similar to the treacherous Shillong Accord. “Such voices of divisiveness are detrimental to the Naga unity which can be expected from people and organization whose personal interests and agendas are kept above the common interests of the Nagas. The so called NNPG’s led by Khehoi campers undertaking their slogan of solution for only Nagas of Nagaland state with concocted and twisting of facts that Integration issue is already rejected by government of India. “This is unfortunate and it is an attempt to mislead the people as the road map for integrations, as per democratic norms, is being agreed upon by India and the NSCN. At the time when all the Nagas throughout Nagalim were suffering, the 16th state of Indian Union, Nagaland state was curved (sic) out leaving the other fellow Nagas scattered in different regions and states/country”, the statement read. Further as the NNPGs has taken the NNC/FGN into its fold, a party who had treacherously signed the Shillong Accord, then the NNPGs should first accept the 16 Point Agreement and the Constitution of India, it argued. “The Khehoi Campers and Reformation groups had accepted the ‘Laws of the land’/Constitution of India, at the time of signing the cease fire with India. The NSCN will not allow the applications of Indian laws as Nagas are never under India. Hence, the NNPG’s led by Khehoi campers should stop meddling in the political affairs of the Nagas by posing themselves as national workers”, it stated. (Click here in full text on page 6)
