NSCN (IM) bans late night parties

DIMAPUR — Having received several complaints from the public and various CSOs regarding night clubs/ pubs and discos which continued till early morning, the union territory (UT) of NSCN (IM) has directed all the nightclubs/ pubs and discos to stop their operation within its jurisdiction with immediate effect.

The ban order was issued as several underage girls were seen late night in an unusual manner and also engaging in immoral activities with married men/ non-local businessmen for some few cash.

The office of the UT also warned those involving in peddling drugs or any banned substances within its jurisdiction. It stated that the use of drugs among young Naga youth has increased tremendously in the past few years as it is easily accessible everywhere. It warned that stringent action would be taken against those involving in sale of any banned substances/ drugs.

Further, the UT office also cautioned its staff to inform/ consult its office regarding any work within UT jurisdiction. In case of any untoward incident within the jurisdiction of UT by its member, it stated that the concerned office would deal strictly with its members.
