DIMAPUR — The NSCN/GPRN-K (Khango) has refuted parts of a news report published on June 6 by various media outlets about the GPRN/NSCN (Unification) welcoming homecomers.
The group, in a press statement, said that Yangtsase Sangtam, mentioned as ‘kilonser’ in the report, was inducted as ‘tatar’ and not kilonser as mentioned. While Pili Sangtam, Khapur, was indeed a member of the NSCN/GPRN-K, he had been absconding from his duty for a long time.
It said that people like Yangtsase and Pili Sangtam leaving the fold is indeed a disguised blessing, as they can do nothing fruitful and benefit the government.
Further, it said, Kitoholi Katti, Y Lipla Sangtam, and Tsachomong Sangtam were neither enrolled nor appointed as members of NSCN/GPRN-K, and dragging the name of NSCN/GPRN-K without properly ascertaining the facts is seriously viewed and questioned.
It was revealed that Capt. Atsase Sangtam defected to NSCN/GPRN (Ang Mai) on June 20, 2023, after the default leave and Coprl. Yokyuse Sangtam has been absconding from the NSCN/GPRN-K CFSB office since April 6 without any valid reason.
It maintained that, therefore, the said cadres are not members of NSCN/GPRN-K and claiming that they are from NSCN (Khango) does not arise and is unacceptable.
