DIMAPUR — The NSCN/GPRN (Khango) has denounced and condemned the sexual assault on a minor girl by one Sgt. Moakaba Aier in Mokokchung district on August 10.
In a press statement, the group said that the heinous crime against the hapless minor committed by a nation worker who owes allegiance to the national principle cannot be tolerated.
Further, it revealed that upon receiving the information about the incident, “the Naga Army was alerted to nab the culprit for capital punishment as per the Yehzabo of the government. However, the relatives rescued him and handed over the accused to the village council and later police arrested him”.
Stating that the NSCN/GPRN (K) vehemently condemned the ghastly act, it warned that the GPRN would award the severest punishment as per the gravity of his crime. Also, the public and relatives have been asked to cooperate.
The NSCN/GPRN (K), also after thorough investigation of the case, terminated Moakaba, bearing Army No. 44718, from the active national service of the Naga Army with immediate effect on account of his involvement in anti-national and anti-social activities.
It went on to warn all the ranks and files of the government to desist from such anti-social activity that is against the principles of the NSCN/GPRN in the future.
