NPYF Nagaland rejects mass resignation claims, says the NPP state unit remains intact and calls for rebuilding trust.
DIMAPUR — The National People's Youth Front (NPYF), Nagaland State, the youth wing of the National People’s Party (NPP), has rejected the portrayal of recent developments as a complete “mass resignation” or collapse of the NPP Nagaland organisation, stating that the state unit remains intact and functional.
In a statement, the NPYF Nagaland State said describing the situation as a complete organisational breakdown was misleading, adding that questions had also been raised over the authenticity of the resignation document currently in circulation.
The NPYF pointed out that one of the state parent-body office bearers whose signature reportedly appeared on the document had been out of station for nearly three months.
It questioned whether the concerned office bearer was aware of the document and had personally authorised or signed it.

The statement further stressed that, given advancements in technology, the authenticity of digitally reproduced or AI-generated signatures should be independently verified before any document was presented as an official resignation.
Attributing the current situation largely to insufficient consultation with state office bearers, particularly over the formation of the Interim Committee, the NPYF said inadequate communication and a slow response from the national leadership at the NPP headquarters in Shillong had aggravated the situation, creating confusion and mistrust within the state organisation.
The NPYF maintained that the priority at this critical juncture should not be to create the impression of a completely dismantled organisation, but to address the grievances of party workers, resolve organisational issues and rebuild trust between the state and national leadership.
“The NPP Nagaland organisation cannot be defined by one document or one narrative. It must be defined by the workers who continue to stand, work and believe in the organisation,” the statement said.
