Dimapur, November 8: Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress (NPYC) has welcomed the decision of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) to appoint Rahul Gandhi as AICC president, while it also decided to submit memorandum to the President of India in support of Rahul Gandhi’s statement for implementation of one rank one pension.
The decision to this effect was taken in its executive meeting on November 8 at DCC office, Dimapur, chaired by NPYC president Hitilo Tep in the presence of Daiyan Hussain, IYC secretary in charge of Nagaland, and Kughato Aye, president DCC Dimapur along with the presidents of DYC and AYC and their colleagues from Dimapur district.
NPYC has also decided to undertake a year long programme in remembering the Iron lady and former Prime Minister of India late lndira Gandhi by organising programme like clean election, sports events, music, art, quiz and essay competitions among school and college students.
NPYC also resolved to undertake programme to connect with the youth of Nagaland.
It also resolved to complete organisation set up of DYC, AYC, VLYC and BLYC by December 2016 and to allocate the district in-charge to the state executives.
NPYC has also resolved to start new membership drive from January 2017. It further resolved to work under the PCC president for the betterment of the Congress party in the State.
