DIMAPUR — Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress (NPYC) has expressed anguish over what it termed ‘constant smear campaign’ by the expelled former working president of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), Bobby Panicker, against the party leaders with his lies through media to mislead the people.
A NPYC press release issued by its working president, Keviphreo Kuotsu, has divulged how he has been exploiting the good nature of Naga people for decades.
NPYC clarified that Panicker was not the founding member of Congress in Nagaland and of the NECCC as claimed. It stated that he left the Congress party twice and rejoined later in accordance with his opportunistic politics.
It stated that the blackmailing habits of Panicker by leveling wild allegations against any leader with whom he disagrees has run its course as even the AICC leaders are now totally fed-up with him and refused to revoke his expulsion made by NPCC.
The youth organisation went on to state that only Panicker along with K Therie knew how much AICC funded NPCC during elections held under their leadership. It alleged that the rampant mismanagement of the party organsiation and funds was evident by the nil results during their time.
It reminded Panicker to remember that while pointing fingers at others, his three fingers are pointed back at him.
“Many in the party are aware as to how a person who came to Nagaland as low ranked constable in IB and left the service after few years has managed to amass such a huge wealth beyond the imagination of common people,” the statement read.
NPYC has advised Panicker not to test the patience of the party workers by indulging in his fantasy and hurling wild allegations against its leaders. It added that NPYC would not hesitate to resort to picketing of his luxurious properties and expose them in the public domain to see which leader has benefitted at the expense of the party.
It further warned those hobnobbing with Panicker and creating issues to cease their activities immediately.
