Dimapur, November 11 : Referring to the news item ‘Non-pliable roads ruining tourism in Nagaland’ carried in this daily on November 9, NPWD Engineer-in-Chief Er. Khupi Natso issued a rejoinder on Friday. He clarified that the issues/concerns regarding the functioning and status of the affairs of the NPW department was shared with the members of the Association of Engineers, NPWD during their general conference in Kohima on November 8 for their information with a note of caution/alert so that the members do not indulge in irregularities in future and to jointly make an effort to streamline the working system of the department.
He made it clear that it was not meant to malign any person/organisations/ government. Maintaining that the very idea of the sharing the information seems to have been misconstrued while reporting in the newspapers, the Engineer-in-Chief said he owed apology to all concerned.
