Dimapur, Oct. 21 (EMN): The NPF Central Youth Wing has warned NLA Speaker, Dr. Imtiwapang Aier of an “indefinite dharna before the Civil Secretariat” in Kohima if the latter fails to ‘settle the case regarding the disqualification issue, recognition of NPF Legislature Party leader and recognition of the NPF chief whip’. The youth wing issued a statement on Saturday informing that it had submitted a memorandum containing said demand to the speaker on Oct. 18 last. The indefinite protest will be held from 10 am to 4 pm, it informed.
The delay in settling said cases was a ‘serious violation of the due process of law’ by the speaker, according to the statement. “...the people have the right to know as to whether the various actions enacted by the people’s representatives are in line with the constitutional and legal provisions”.
