NPF Youth Wing Dimapur organised a free medical camp and CMHIS awareness and registration drive, offering health screenings, consultations, medicines and insurance registration.
DIMAPUR — The NPF Youth Wing, Dimapur Division, organised a free medical camp-cum-Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) awareness and registration drive at the Naga Shopping Arcade area on Saturday.
Interacting with the media persons, NPF Youth Wing, Dimapur Division, president Lanuchuba Imchen said the initiative was taken up by the NPF Central Youth Wing and conducted across all districts of Nagaland.
The week-long programme, which commenced on August 1, concluded on Saturday.
Imchen said medicines for the camp were donated by the Nagaland Medicine Dealers Association (NMDA) president Ato Yepthomi, enabling the organisers to distribute medicines free of cost to the public.
Six doctors participated in the medical camp, including doctors associated with the National TB Elimination Programme and the Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Department.
Personnel from the Malaria Department, Mobile Medical Unit and Disha team were also present, along with officials from the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme.
The camp was held from 10 am to 4 pm and provided a range of free services, including general health examinations, TB/HIV services, NCD screening, vector-borne disease services, CMHIS registration and card generation, counselling, and distribution of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials.
Imchen said several well-wishers had extended support for the initiative, while the Central Youth Wing of the NPF bore the expenses for the programme.
He also expressed gratitude to the DAN for allowing the organisers to use the venue for the camp.
