DIMAPUR — The Naga People’s Front (NPF), Senapati Division, has condemned the reported ransacking and vandalisation of the NPF-MSU office at Liangmai Taphou in Senapati district and called on the authorities to investigate the incident and take action against those responsible.
In a statement issued on Friday, the division described the incident as a "senseless and barbaric act" and alleged that unidentified miscreants were involved in damaging the party office.
The NPF Senapati Division stated that targeting the office of a political party amounted to an attack on democratic principles and maintained that differences should be resolved through dialogue rather than violence.
It further stated that vandalising a political party office was a serious offence and urged the concerned authorities to investigate the matter, identify those responsible and take action in accordance with the law.
The division also condemned what it described as the "inhuman behaviour" of Kuki militants towards six Naga men whose bodies were recovered on June 10, and expressed solidarity with their family members.
