DIMAPUR — The Naga People’s Front (NPF) has reaffirmed its commitment to the Naga political issue, reiterating that it remains true to its founding principles of pursuing an honourable, acceptable, and inclusive settlement through peaceful means.
Speaking at the 3rd oath-taking ceremony of party office bearers held in Kohima on Monday, Secretary General and MLA Achumbemo Kikon said that the party continues to uphold the vision of its pioneers in seeking a negotiated solution to the long-standing issue.
“We believe in resolving the Naga political issue through peaceful means, which is honourable, acceptable, and inclusive,” a press release quoted Kikon as saying.
He stressed the importance of discipline, unity, and hard work among party members, warning that the party would take action against those who fail to uphold these values.

The NPF, he added, would continue implementing people-centric programmes such as the Village Development Board and Local Area Development Programme, which have benefitted rural communities.
Kikon also appreciated Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for facilitating cooperation between regional parties in the interest of the Naga people.
Padmashree Sano Vamuzo, President of Central Women’s Wing, urged party workers to serve with sincerity and integrity, asserting that politics “is not dirty” when practiced with honesty and dedication to public welfare.
