Dimapur, July 9 (EMN): NPF Peren division along with both 6 Tening and 7 Peren Assembly Constituencies has appreciated the legislators in the DAN-III government for reposing their faith on the leadership of TR Zeliang to lead the affair of the State as chief minister.
While calling for peace and good sense to prevail upon the present political imbroglio and placing on record their gratitude to Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu for guiding the State during his tenure, the rank and file of NPF party workers under Peren division requested Liezietsu to gracefully pave way for leader of the NPF legislature party and chairman DAN, TR Zeliang, to form a new government in the State instead of opting for suspensions and expulsions, which will not have consequences neither on the membership of the legislators in the Assembly nor on the formation of a new government.
A joint press statement issued by president of NPF Peren division, Haigam Kauring, president NPF 7 Peren AC Manuel Kamson and president NPF 6 Tening AC Namkiak stated that support to the leadership of TR Zeliang is far beyond the 2/3 majority benchmark. It, therefore, urged the current chief minister to pave way in accordance with the parliamentary conventions and norms for a peaceful transition at the earliest.
