Mokokchung, October 24: Commemorating two successful years in office, Naga People’s Front (NPF), Mokokchung division, headed by Moasangba Jamir as president, a grand celebration cum annual executive committee meeting was held in its office premises on October 24.
The programme was attended by legislators from Mokokchung district, NPF files and ranks from NPF Central, CEC members, NPF Mokokchung, assembly constituencies and NPF veterans from Mokokchung.
Nuklutoshi, minister of National Highway, Mechanical Engineering & Election and Mokokchung in-charge, said the State government has now come to normalcy in the working system after overcoming the biggest party crises face by present leaders.
With the change of regime at the centre, he said the government system have changed in such a way that the State now has to sustain itself and the people have to work harder than before to move forward with rest of the world.
“The period of depending on the central government for funds and development without doing any work is gone. The time has come to a juncture where funds will be allotted if the work is genuine and practically in process…,” the minister said.He also exhorted the party workers to know the government decision, plans and policies and stand with the government in every aspects saying, “A government is party government.”
Presently with more than eighty thousand plus educated unemployed youth registered in the State besides many unregistered youth, the minister said Nagaland has the highest ratio of government employment in the country. In this regard, he said the number of unemployed youth will increase to lakhs within a span of five to ten years from now adding the problem of unemployed youth will be the biggest apart from the UGs problems.
“Where to accommodate those unemployed youth is the biggest problem,” the minister said. To ease the problem of unemployed youth, the minister was of the view that Nagas should first unite and bring an amicable solution to the Naga political problem to usher in peace and tranquility in State and attract investors to solve the problem.
The minister also released a commemorative bulletin of the NPF Mokokchung division and gave away citation certificates to NPF veteran workers in the district.
Meanwhile, the presidential address was delivered by Moasangba Jamir, president NPF, Mokokchung Division, while short speeches were tendered by Parliamentary Secretary, MLAs, CEC member, executive members and veterans present in the event. Presentations of reports were also said by division youth wing, women wing, and farmers wing.
