NPF Meluri affirms support to Yitachu

Dimapur, July 19 (EMN): NPF 20 Meluri Assembly Constituency has condemned the statement of the dissidents group against its elected member Yitachu and termed as more of personal attack on his integrity by using unparliamentary words which was unbecoming of any political party. “The whole Nagas will bear witness that all these times, as spokesperson, he has never uttered a single word against any particular individual, except in the interest of the party. We, as electorates of 20 Meluri A/C, are witness to the fact that he had never hoodwinked his people for his personal gain,” the party Assembly Constituency president T Kamsang said.It recalled that during the tussle in 2014, he was with TR Zeliang group because the group had the favour of NPF party, adding even during tussle in early 2015, he had stood firmly with TR Zeliang, who had the favour of the party. Likewise, it stated that even in the recent crisis, he stood with the party irrespective of whether the group was in majority or minority and never wavered from the party principle irrespective of the risk involved. The statement also stated that in all these crises, he stood firmly along the party principle and had never put the constituency party man in any sort of awkward or embarrassing position through his stand unlike certain unprincipled members. The party assured to stand by every word he uttered in the position of party spokesman. Stating that he commands their confidence, trust and respect, the party expressed pride on every decision he took and decided to stand unitedly and firmly behind its leader even in days to come.
