- KOHIMA — Leader
of NPF Legislature Party, Kuzholuzo Nienu, on Friday suggested that the time
has come for Nagas of Manipur, Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh to “voice out
diplomatically” to convince the government of India that “Nagas are one and
need to come under one administrative umbrella.”
- The NPF leader was addressing the inaugural programme of the
‘Pao Leo Day’ celebration at Purul Atongba village in Manipur.
- Nienu recalled that in order to bring all Naga-inhabited
areas together, the Nagaland State Assembly had passed eight consecutive
resolutions.
- Sadly, these resolutions didn’t bear any fruit or result, he
said—while opining that “divine intervention” might be the only way out.
- “Naga legislators alone passing resolution after resolution
will not bring any results, but it is time for every Naga to voice out,” he
said.
- The NPF leader also affirmed that Nagas can be a big family
if all the Naga-inhabited states come together and that "we are going to
be the largest state in the country."
- “Today, Nagas are living in different places across the
world, but every Naga has a common dream, which is to come together one day
under one roof and under one administrative umbrella,” he said.
