Kohima, Oct. 3 (EMN): Naga People’s Front (NPF) Kohima division held its first executive meeting-cum-oath taking ceremony on October 3 in Kohima.
NPF Kohima division president Gonei-u Sirie, in his address, welcomed the newly inducted office bearers. He said many of the members have joined the NPF from other political parties with an aim and dedication to lift up the NPF party to greater heights.
MLAs Keneizhakho Nakhro and Khriehu Liezietsu, former MLA Kropol Vitsu and vice president COB (Adm) i/c Kohima division Kruzakie Kelio also delivered short speeches.
The speakers thanked the party rank and file for standing firm till date and encouraged them not to be disheartened or swayed away by ‘street talks’ as the NPF, though in the opposition, was still the single largest party in the state assembly and they expressed hope that the NPF will come to power.
The meeting was chaired by working president NPF Kohima Division Kelhouletuo Keretsü.
The house unanimously resolved to stand firm and work steadfastly for betterment and uplift of the NPF party through ‘thick and thin.’ It also resolved to extend its fullest support and cooperation to NPF president Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu and NPF Legislature Party leader TR Zeliang.
