The NPF organised a prayer fellowship in Chümoukedima for theological students from Arunachal Pradesh and distributed bursaries under its NPF Bursary Project.
DIMAPUR — The Naga People's Front (NPF) organised a prayer fellowship for theological students from the Tangsa, Nocte, Wancho and Tutsa communities of Arunachal Pradesh who are pursuing their studies in Nagaland.
The programme was held on Sunday at Hotel Season, Chümoukedima, as part of the NPF’s initiative to support and encourage students from neighbouring Naga communities, according to a press release issued by the NPF press bureau.
The fellowship began with scripture reading and an invocation by Atoi, associate pastor (Women), KBCC. Bursaries were subsequently distributed to the students under the NPF Bursary Project.
Pastor Apong of YBC, Chümoukedima, offered a special prayer for the students’ studies and future ministry. Anon Arangham of UCTM, Chümoukedima, spoke on behalf of the students and expressed gratitude to the NPF for its support.

NPF (COB) vice president Kekongchim Yimkhiung said the party, under the leadership of Chief Minister and NPF president Neiphiu Rio and secretary general Achumbemo Kikon, seeks to reach out to Nagas across state boundaries.
He said the NPF was not only a political party but also represented Naga identity rooted in shared culture and history.
He encouraged the students to promote Nagaism and unity among Naga communities in Arunachal Pradesh.
Yimkhiung also expressed concern that some Arunachal Naga communities were losing touch with their shared identity and urged the students to preserve and strengthen it.
The NPF said the initiative reaffirmed its commitment to supporting theological students and strengthening fellowship among Naga communities across state boundaries.
The programme was chaired by NPF (COB) vice president H Angnyei Konyak and concluded with his remarks.
