Dimapur, Jan. 19: Taking strong exception to the utterances of Kheto Sema from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Naga People’s Front (NPF) has demanded immediate clarification for ‘making wild allegations.’
While stating that it has taken upon the challenge of ‘changing deeply ingrained past practices’ as the thorniest task facing the State, NPF Press Bureau today said DAN government, since its inception, has been working with all efforts towards building up a social and political order to ensure a clean and self reliant society.
It said the NPF led DAN government under TR Zeliang as chief minister is doing everything possible for all round remedial action, having affected adequate corrective measures already, despite acute financial hardship faced due to the utter negligence by the Congress led UPA government at the Centre during its ten years rule, causing even more difficulties by the drastic slashing of the 2013-14 Annual Plan Fund. It added that necessary developments, wherever deemed imperative have, have been initiated under appropriate authorities.
It has hit out at Kheto Sema of the BJP on his ignorance of these facts in merely making wild allegations for the sake of rhetoric. NPF Press Bureau said the BJP leader was making a fool of himself in the eyes of the public in failing to understand the issues.
‘Instead of bragging carelessly and baselessly vilifying the NPF, Mr Kheto Sema, who is a former minister in the DAN government needs to know that the people are much more mature and aware than he realises,’ the Bureau said.
While stating that NPF is not interested to meddle in the internal affairs of the BJP, it demanded the latter to behave like a responsible ruling party rather than behaving like an irresponsible opposition party.
Since the BJP legislators are part and parcel of the present government, it demanded the BJP leadership to clarify the matter immediately.
