Dimapur, Dec. 7 (EMN): Naga People’s Front (NPF) celebrated pre-Christmas on December 6 with pomp and gaiety at its central office in Kohima.
In his Christmas message, NPF president Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu stressed on the need to have true Christ spirit in them as they celebrate the joyous birth of Jesus Christ. He stated that any person who puts Christ in the centre of his heart will always be successful and happy in life.
Dwelling his message on John 3:16, the president said mankind received the best gift from God for sending his son Jesus Christ into the world to save them from sins. He said Christmas time is a challenging and most significant time to prove our obedience towards Him.
Dr. Shürhozelie also said that becoming a politician is also like any other professions saying “if we do not work for the welfare of the people, we cannot become a good politician.” He, therefore, called upon the congregation to humble themselves and put Christ first and work for the people.
N Vihoshe Swu and Banuo Sanchu read the scripture, while Vimenuo Nakhro delivered the Christmas greeting, Thangsat invoked God’s blessing and Virie Kuotsu enthralled the congregation with a song. The programme was chaired by S Akho Leyri.
The programme was attended by central office bearers, CEC members, frontals, MLAs and well wishers.
