DIMAPUR — The District Congress Committee
(DCC) Kiphire has sought immediate intervention regarding the recently
circulated appointment orders issued by an individual named K Tsalimong, who allegedly
addressed himself as the DCC president of Kiphire.
In a letter to the president of the Nagaland Pradesh
Congress Committee (NPCC), Likyuse Sangtam, president of DCC Kiphire, and
Tsalichum S Sangtam, general secretary (admin) of DCC Kiphire, stated that, in
the interest of the party, the DCC Kiphire strongly urged that any appointments
made against the Kiphire District Congress and all its subordinates be
nullified.
They also called for strong action to be taken against the
individual misusing the office of DCC Kiphire and attempting to tarnish the
reputation of the NPCC.
In a similar letter, the ACCC 60 A/C Pungro-Kiphire sought
immediate intervention regarding the circulated appointment orders and appealed
to nullify any appointments made against the Kiphire District Congress and all
its subordinates.
In the letter addressed to the president by ACCC 59 A/C
Seyochung-Sitimi, it was maintained that the recommendation for PCC membership,
as claimed in the said letter, was made without the knowledge, consent, or
participation of the 59 ACCC or its office bearers.
Furthermore, it was stated that the so-called president of
the DCC, Kiphire K Tsalimong, has never been recognised by the legitimate
leadership of the ACCC 59 A/C Seyochung-Sitimi.
It was stated that the 59 ACCC affirms its firm support for
the present PCC member, Atsala Anar, whose leadership and service have earned
their full confidence. The letter strongly rejected any attempt to bypass or
undermine her representation through unauthorised recommendations.
