Dimapur, March 15 (EMN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has suspended the membership of its former president I Imkong, and working president Ayang Aonok.
In a statement issued today, the state Congress informed that the duo has been served with show-cause notices asking them why disciplinary actions should not be taken on them. Pending ‘disposal of disciplinary action’, both have been suspended from the party and relieved of their NPCC assignments with effect from March 12, it informed.
The NPCC’s executive committee, it informed, had on March 10 resolved to take strict disciplinary action on the two leaders “for their anti party activities”, it informed.
