Dimapur, Aug. 1 (EMN): Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president, K Therie urged the party workers to remain steadfast as he exuded confidence that Congress would return to power through ballot paper.
Therie stated this while addressing ranks and files of Phek District Congress Committee (DCC), all frontals bodies, 5 A/C ACCC in Phek on July 29. He thanked the people of Phek district especially the NPF for supporting INC candidate KL Chishi in the last Lok Sabha election by securing a laudable majority.
NPCC president was confident that more affected people from different religions and marginalised sectors coming together to resist the onslaught of the Hindutva political domination in the coming elections. He stated that the lower class society, religion minorities particularly the Muslims and Christians have no option but to rise and defend themselves from being lynched almost every day. PDCC general secretary Rilo Therie has stated in a press release.
NPCC chief also expressed that Nagaland government is under serious pressure from BJP adding even the chief minister had surrendered to BJP high command. He further stated that ‘BJP government is EVM government and not a public mandated government.’
