Dimapur, August 4 : The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has accused the minister for Public Health Engineering (PHED) and former Congress Legislature Party leader of misusing the NPCC’s official letter pad.
The minister, Tokheho Yepthomi, is said to have used the Congress’ letter pad in a communication to the director of Food & Civil Supplies, according to a press release from the media cell of the committee on Thursday. The NPCC alleged that the NPF leader told the director of Food & Civil Supplies “to allot 150 bags of rice to a particular individual for public distribution on cash payment…” “It has come to the attention of the NPCC that former CLP Leader and now PHED Minister in NPF government Tokheho Yepthomi is alleged to have misused the official letter pad of the CLP Leader while writing to the Director of Food & Civil Supplies on 30/07/2016.”
The NPCC “wishes to remind Tokheho Yepthomi that he is now in NPF party for the loaves and fishes of office after deserting the INC party that gave him enough opportunities.” “Using the letter pad of the CLP leader even after betraying and abandoning the Congress party is not acceptable and he must therefore apologize to all congress men and women,” the NPCC stated.
Moreover, the NPCC stated, asking the director of Food & Civil Supplies “to allot 150 bags of rice to a particular individual for public distribution on cash payment is an abuse of power that deprives the intended beneficiaries getting their due share and therefore Chief Minister TR Zeliang who is also holding the portfolio of Food & Civil Supplies is answerable for the conduct of his ministers.”
