Dimapur, November 5: Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has castigated the State government for failing to pay the pending six months salary of SSA teachers and termed as failure on the part of the State government to regulate the system of paying salaries. NPCC Media Cell today said blaming the Government of India for non release of funds as the reason for non-payment of the salaries cannot cover the failure on the part of the State government to regulate the system of paying salaries. It rather accused the State government of ‘misuse and mismanagement,’ saying Government of India has no plans to withhold salaries for six months. Stating that teachers are the most respected professionals, NPCC said priorities should be given for their noble services adding that they deserve to be paid their salaries on time.
