Nagaland Pollution Control Board (NPCB) has announced to undertake inspection of industries in and around Dimapur and Chumukedima, especially the stone crushing units.
While observing that many industries were not able to furnish proper information during such inspection in the past, the Board notified all industrial units under Section 5 of the Environment (Protection) Act 1986 to be ready with the documents.
The Board has requested industrial units to put up a signboard indicating the name of the unit, and maintain copy of Industrial License, copy of Lease Agreement; incase the industry is operated in a lease land, copy of “No Objection Certificate” from the village/ colony council, copy of latest electricity bill from the Power department and a copy of Consent Certificate by Nagaland Pollution Control Board.
