
DIMAPUR — Nagaland Police Baptist Churches Association (NPBCA) conducted chaplains’ training from May 26 to the 28th on the theme ‘Chaplains: stand firm’ (Ephesians 6: 10 -14) at NPBCA Mission Centre, Chümoukedima.
Rev. Pudhuhu Khusoh, Pastor 5th NAP Phek; M Yeihwang Konyak, Pastor 6th NAP Tizit, and Rev. Dr. HA Zhimomi, Executive Secretary, NPBCA, were the resource persons of the training programme, stated NPBCA in an update.
The resource persons spoke on various topics including ‘Call and commitment of a chaplain’ and ‘Sermon and bible study tools.’ There was also an interactive session on the topic ‘Blessings and opportunities of a police chaplain.’
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]Rev. Dr. Mongzeung Mpom, Pastor of Jalukie Town Local Baptist Church, was the guest speaker on Sunday morning devotional service. Rev. Mpom encouraged the trainees to give priority to one’s overall being in order to be an effective minister, and also to give sufficient time to one’s own family.

He also emphasised on the importance to make disciples of the members of their congregation so that they in turn can make disciples. Further, he encouraged the congregation to serve God by giving one’s best and with humility. Earlier, the service was led by Luchie Thupitor, NPBCA Mission Secretary and programme coordinator, while Ben Longkumer, Commandant NAPTC, exhorted the gathering.
Altogether 69 chaplains from different NPBCA fellowships attended the programme, it stated.
