Dimapur, Feb. 13: The Nagaland Press Association (NPA) has condemned what it stated was harassment and intimidation meted out to some journalists on duty by volunteers enforcing the bandh on Monday. “Instead of recognizing and appreciate (sic) the service rendering (sic) for the benefit of the society even in matter of spot news reporting by the journalists during bandh, it is painful and very disappointing that the people, who are benefiting out of journalists (sic) works and their contributions, continuously harass, humiliate and hinder their movements thoughtlessly time and again,” it stated. Condemning “such misbehaviours”, the NPA urged the “organizer of the bandh and its volunteers to recognize the nature and need of the works of journalists and behave oneself.”
